How to Add Mods to Your Terraria tModLoader (v1.4) Server



Step 1: Stop Your Server


Before making any modifications, ensure your server is stopped.

Step 2: Install tModLoader (v1.4)


Use the Mod Manager to install tModLoader (v1.4) on your server.

Step 3: Select Mods


Visit the tModLoader Steam Workshop to find and subscribe to the mods you want.

Step 4: Upload Mods


- Mods from the Steam Workshop will download automatically.
- If using mods from other sources, upload the .tmod files to the Mods/ folder.

Step 5: Enable Mods


- Locate the enabled.json file.
- Add the mod file names to ensure they load correctly.

Step 6: Start Your Server


Once the mods are uploaded and enabled, start your server.

Step 7: Verify Mods


Use the Web Console and type:
modlist

This command will list all loaded mods to confirm successful installation.

Important Tips


- Some mods are only compatible with v1.3.5 and are not yet ported to v1.4.
- Some mods require dependencies. Always check the mod description before installing.
- To install multiple mods at once, list multiple mod IDs separated by a comma:
